He was also taken into custody as part of the investigation regarding the death of Quentin Beck which also affects his friends and family. He constantly draws attention, and worse, it endangers those closest to him. The ramifications of the villain's comments make Peter's life miserable. In a last-ditch effort to defeat the wall-crawler, Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal) outed Spider-Man's secret identity and even framed the hero for his death. Before Spider-Man: No Way Home deals with branching realities, however, its narrative jumping point will be Spider-Man: Far From Home's mid-credits scene.
